Photoshop Actions, Filters and Plugins! There are so many different ways to enhance your images!
Since I am a working Portrait and Wedding Photographer, most of my images are not enhanced. I apply some "artsy" effects on only a few of my images to create art pieces and to show the clients what is possible. My absolute favorite Photoshop Action of all time was developed in 2005 by Dave Jaseck.
Newborn with Midnight Sepia Action
Ballerina desaturated slightly then ran Midnight Sepia Action.
Converted to Black & White, then ran Midnight Sepia Action.
Midnight Sepia is amazing on beach scenes!
I didn't have any landscape scenes readily available but try Midnight Sepia yourself. It gives a dreamy, soft look that really works on nature photography as well as portraits.
I found the Action Central website by accident way back then and it continues to be one of my favorite sites for plugin information and actions. Many of the actions are free, including Midnight Sepia.
Here is the direct link. Scroll down to Midnight Sepia. http://atncentral.com/image_enhance.html
Have fun playing with them and creating art!
