New to Lightroom presets? Read on to learn how to install presets in Lightroom.

  1. Download the custom Lightroom Preset. Save it somewhere you can find it.
  2. Right click to copy the Preset template. (If it’s in a zip file, extract it first.)
  3. Open Lightroom. Find Preferences.
    Windows users, click Edit, then Preferences.
    Mac users, go to Lightroom up at the top, then Preferences.
  4. Click on the Presets tab.
  5. Click Show Lightroom Presets Folder.
  6. Open the “Lightroom” folder by double clicking.
  7. Open the “Develop Presets” folder by double clicking.
  8. Open the “User Presets” folder by double clicking.
  9. Right click in the blank area and Paste.
  10. Close all the windows and close Lightroom.
  11. The next time you open Lightroom, your new preset will be in your User Presets in the Develop Module.
