Join Joe Fitzpatrick on a trip to Old Florida in the Florida panhandle. Our base is the adorable town of Apalachicola, home of Tupelo honey and oysters! Headquarters is the luxury boutique bed & breakfast, The Majestic Jewel of Apalachicola.
Meals and Lodging are not included so if you’d like to stay at another inn, there are about six choices in Apalachicola. That being said, if we all stay at the Majestic Jewel, we will have the entire house to ourselves!
Under Joe Fitzpatrick’s guidance, you will improve your photography skills while capturing memorable images of Florida’s Forgotten Coast. Learn how to maximize detail in both shadows and highlights of subjects with very bright and very dark areas. Study the techniques used to enhance subjects with selective focus. See how you can obtain maximum depth of field under any conditions. Master your camera’s exposure, focus, and metering modes. See how composition can take you images to the next level.
The small group size allows us to provide individual instruction based on your skill level, be it beginner, intermediate, or old pro. You will receive plenty of one on one personal attention from Joe throughout the workshop.
Limited to five attendees.
$1495.00 plus lodging and meals. We will have a light Continental breakfast available at the Majestic Jewel for all attendees (bagels, cream cheese, coffee & oatmeal).
Please note – because we limit this trip to just five people, deposits are not refundable unless we can sell your spot. Please take out travel insurance. Our customers tend to be over age 50 so there is a good chance that someone will have to drop out. If it’s you, please have travel insurance! We cannot stay in business if we lose money, therefore we cannot refund unless we cancel the trip.
We will be venturing around the area in the Understand Photography minivan. If you’d like to carpool from Naples, Fort Myers or Tampa, let us know.
The minivan will be completely sanitized before the trip.
