Enhance your images using the secrets of pros – masking and layering. Cathy will provide you with insight and new techniques to create your own style of artistic expression.
Cathy Nocera is an award winning photographer who discovered a technique to turn her photographs into artwork.
This is not new to photography. Layering and masking has been used in the darkroom since the beginning of the developing process. Digital technology has given us the opportunity to take this into a “fine art” direction.
You will learn how to how to compose an image in the Rule of Thirds, how to color correct using levels and curves in photoshop, how to enhance your photographs using third party plug-ins, blending modes, and texture layers.
Learn how to use textures to give your images a painterly look.
Bring your laptop for hands-on experience. Basic knowledge of Photoshop is required. Cathy will help you understand specific techniques to enable you to become a “digital artist” right away.
Bring some of your own files to work on. Sample files and textures will be provided to follow along in the process.
If you want to add a new dimension to your experience with photography and learn a new creative outlet, you will not want to miss this workshop.
PREREQUISITES:
A working knowledge of Photoshop and a laptop with a current version of Photoshop installed. Please test your Photoshop before coming to class. We don’t want you to be left behind due to technical problems.
This class is for Photoshop CS users. Photoshop Elements can do some of this but not all, and the menus are in different places. If you have Elements and are interested in a class like this, let Peggy know and we’ll see what we can do!
