Create your own Masterpiece - Lighting and Editing beautiful still life

Cathy Nocera is coming back to share her incredible expertise in both studio lighting and editing.

Learn how to create photographic art worthy of framing and hanging on your walls.

Students will bring to class elements for a still life from their own home - vase, fruit, material, etc. that would go well with their decor and personal style. Each student sets up the still life and photographs it (with guidance for exposure, composition, etc), post processing and art work applied after lunch break.

Class will include:

- rules of design; color harmony, creating pleasing leading lines, shadow ratios, composition

- photographing your personal “treasures” with studio lighting.

- post processing using Photoshop/Elements techniques

- texturing with flair - adding “paint” to your piece

- explore cropping for maximum effect

Basic knowledge of Photoshop or Elements is essential. This will be a hands on class with one on one guidance, limited to only five students.

BONUS: Free Photoshop brushes and textures will be provided at no additional cost.

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with break for lunch your own.
