Baby, Child and Family Photographers - Get started Right!

Eight hours of fun and learning!!   Our workshops are very limited so you will have lots of time to practice with an instructor to help.  The best way to learn it by doing!!

This is bootcamp for portrait photographers with an emphasis on babies, children and families!

We’ll begin with a class on exposure and shooting in the manual setting. 

How to get a perfect exposure every time.

How to achieve that blurred out background look. 

Motion blur and proper use.

Basic flash photography on and off camera

How to set up a home studio using speedlights and umbrellas

Using props that enhance, not overwhelm.

PRACTICE!!  We’ll have a real baby in the studio so you can build up your portfolio and practice with our home studio set up.

Back to class……

How to use on camera flash - pop up flashes or speedlights

How to balance the light so the background and foreground are properly exposed (no more blown out backgrounds or dark faces!).

Posing basics.

Onward to the beach……

We will practice everything we learned on a real family.  You’ll have the opportunity to practice posing and getting your lighting and exposures right, with help! 

We’ll finish at the beach at sunset.   5:56pm

 

Bring:  DSLR Camera, fully charged batteries

If you have a detachable flash, bring it.  If not, we can work with your pop up flash.
