Stefano is an active photographer and instructor who lives right in the area so knows the best photo spots, as well as the people, best places to eat and stay! Tuscany 2020 FAQ’s

We want this photo trip to be a mind-blowing experience for you! You will be taken to amazing spots at the best light. Peggy and Stefano will give lessons and suggestions along the way. We’ll have formal editing lessons so not only will you take amazing photographs, you’ll process them for even more impact!

The photography will be amazing, and we are also adding some fun, Italian things to do. We are still working on the details but you know food and wine will be involved!

This time, we have decided to stay right in the ancient town of Pienza (originally established in the 9th century!). In 1996, UNESCO declared the town a World Heritage Site, and in 2004 the entire valley, the Val d’Orcia, was included on the list of UNESCO‘s World Cultural Landscapes.

Please note that sunrise and sunset are approximately 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 pm every day this week.

DAY ONE: October 4, 2020

Stefano will pick all of us up at the Rome Fiumicino Airport.
Lunch on the way to the hotel

Around 5-5:30 pm, after settling in to our rooms, we’ll head out to photograph the sunset in Val d’Orcia.

DAY TWO: October 5
Breakfast
Photoshop Editing
Lunch at hotel
Nap or relaxing time to recover from jet lag
We’ll head out to a new spot for sunset photography.

DAY THREE: October 6

Sunrise shooting before heading back for breakfast.
Leave for Winery Tour, tasting and lunch
Hotel for a nap or Photoshop editing
Visit Montepulciano and Monticchiello
Sunset shooting
Dinner
Night shooting if weather conditions cooperate

DAY FOUR: October 7

We’ll start the day at sunrise shooting (we’ll make this decision the night before)

DAY 8: October 11

One last sunrise shooting – at the Gladiator road spot, revisiting our first location, because it’s worth it to see both sunrise and sunset!

What’s not included:

Transportation to Pienza if you cannot meet Stefano at our agreed upon time in Rome.

**Transportation from Rome is included as long as everyone is ready to leave Rome within two hours of each other. If one or two people cannot get a flight at a similar time, you will be responsible for your own transportation to our inn in Pienza.

As this trip is nonrefundable (unless canceled), we highly recommend travel insurance. Please contact us for suggestions if you don’t have a travel insurance company.

We will send out information about what lenses and gear to bring. This might be the time to invest in a good tripod. Just keep in mind the weight, since you’ll have to carry your own gear.
