Small Group Boat Ride to Cape Romano Dome Home
December 28 @ 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm$99.00
The mysterious Cape Romano Dome home is so wonderful to photograph! This time, we have a private tour to photograph it at sunset!
I never get tired of seeing this historic and beautiful abandoned home that is being swallowed up by the sea. Hurricane Irma knocked down two of the domes of the Cape Romano Dome Home so we are planning a boat trip to photograph it while it’s still standing!
We are meeting in Goodland, near Marco Island, to take up to six photographers (including instructor Joe Fitzpatrick) to photograph the Dome Home. Registration is only $99 per person and please budget at least $10 for a tip for the captain as well. Our captain is amazing and really goes out of his way to please his customers. We’ve worked with him for many years and it’s always a great experience!
It’s about a 30-minute boat trip each way so we’ll have plenty of time to photograph the Dome Home from several angles. We will most likely to see dolphins on our way to or from the Dome Home too!
Bring a wide to medium lens – a 24-105mm on a full frame or 18-55 mm on a crop frame camera will be perfect. If you have a CPL (circular polarizer lens), bring that as well. You won’t need a tripod. Please don’t bring a ton of equipment or we’ll be tripping over it on the boat.
Please note we need a minimum of four people to make this happen and the maximum is five people.
Please review the refund policy before you register. There are no refunds or transfers within two weeks of this outing unless it’s cancelled. You may, however, send someone in your place.
