We Simplify The Technical!

You can order a full copy of our book, Florida Photo Spots; Naples and Collier County as an ebook for only $4.99 or as a softcover book.
See sidebar for link.

Name of Place: Cape Romano
Location: Cape Romano is a cape at the southern end of Caxambas Island, just south of Marco Island and northwest of the Ten Thousand Islands in Collier County, Florida.
Coordinates: 25°50’43.4”N 81°40’43.3”W
Restrooms: No
Cost: Free
Great for: Nature photography; the Dome Home, deserted beach, shorebirds and raptors.
The Dome Home was built in 1981 by an engineer who wanted to get away from it all. It’s now decaying and sinking into the sea. It’s only accessible by boat. We recommend Dreamlander Tours out of Goodland, Florida to bring you to the Cape Romano Dome home and beach. But you’d better hurry. Who knows how long it will be before this beautiful structure is overtaken by the sea?
