Wednesdays in May: Four Weeks to Proficiency with your DSLR.

Peggy Farren 2013-05-01

"Four Weeks to Proficiency". These are our four basic classes, given weekly. We will cover all the important basics of photography in four short weeks. Of course, this is not all there is to learn, but your photography will improve by leaps and bounds by having a clear understanding of exposure, composition, flash, metering and white balance!! Register for all four classes in advance and receive a 10% discount!

These are our tried and true workshops - tweaked by lots of student and teacher evaluations and input over the years. All of our workshops are HANDS-ON so bring your camera!!

Speedlite Flash Class

DSLR Operation and Exposure Basics – This is the first class you should take when you purchase a DSLR. We’ll get you shooting in the manual setting in two hours! This is our most popular class.

Composition – The Most Important Class you’ll take to Improve Your Photography! Everyone thinks they understand the Rule of Thirds but we find that they really don’t. Learn where your eye naturally goes and how to use leading lines and power points to make a more pleasing image. This is a very in-depth class so it’s good for beginners to advanced photographers.

The Outdoor Portrait - Flash Basics - We start in the studio learning about basic flash photography and beginner speedlite techniques – on camera and off camera. Then we head outside to practice with models.

DSLR Two – Metering Modes, White Balance, Drive Modes, Focal point, focus modes and more! We do our best to make the technical stuff easy to understand!

Four Weeks to Proficiency: Register in advance for all four workshops and save a bit of money. The price is $294.30. You can also register for each class individually or choose to take just one or two of the classes.

Long descriptions of each class are on the meetup site: Email or call to register: or 239-263-7001.
